

Nokia supplies GSM/GPRS/EDGE network and MMS to CTi Móvil in Argentina

The Nokia network was delivered in record time for GSM launch.
Nokia has supplied its GSM/GPRS/EDGE network and MMS solution to CTi Móvil, the largest wireless operator in Argentina. By delivering the initial phase of the network in record time Nokia made it possible for CTi Móvil to begin GSM services in Argentina on December 5th, 2003 with successful commercial launches in Buenos Aires and the Atlantic Coast.
Under the agreement Nokia will provide a complete GSM/GPRS/EDGE network; including a GPRS core network, paving the way for a fruitful partnership. In addition, Nokia is providing its multimedia messaging service (MMS) solution, Nokia NetAct(TM) operations support system, a comprehensive set of services including its Operations Start-up Package, network optimization and Care Services. Also included is the Nokia Intelligent Content Delivery solution that allows CTi Móvil to flexibly and effectively provide content to end-users, simplifying their access to advanced data applications.
