Nokia adds nCircle and Websense to growing security developers alliance list
November 12, 2003

Two companies are latest interoperable software solutions providers to become "Nokia OK" members

Mountain View, Calif. -(November 12, 2003)- Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced today the addition of two new members to its Nokia Security Developers Alliance program. Solutions from nCircle and Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN) are the latest installment of "Nokia OK" products to join the Developers Alliance, which was created in 2002 to deliver customers unique third-party applications on the trusted Nokia platform.

"These offerings from nCircle and Websense will help our enterprise customers to increase productivity, more effectively protect their network integrity and reduce potential threats," said Marc Theeuwes, senior manager, Nokia. "The Nokia Security Developers Alliance continues to broaden Nokia's reach into new markets and meet the evolving needs of existing customers with a total of 11 interoperable products."

nCircle and Websense bring two innovative and complementary solutions to Nokia's line of network integrity and secure connectivity appliances. nCircle provides an accurate and scaleable vulnerability management system that continuously helps discover, assess and protect IP network devices throughout the global enterprise framework. With its filtering software, Websense empowers organizations to analyze, manage and report on employee Internet access, network activity, software application use and bandwidth utilization.

"nCircle is pleased to deliver its vulnerability management system on the widely-deployed Nokia security platform," said Karl Hutter, senior vice president corporate development, nCircle. "With nCircle's solution, customers can identify and eliminate network vulnerabilities before they can be exploited, thereby reducing network security exposures and increasing the effectiveness of their overall security program."

As participants in the Developers Alliance, nCircle and Websense have access to the Software Development Kit (SDK) for Nokia's secure Operating System (IPSO). The SDK, in conjunction with the Developers Alliance approval process, enabled these developers to create truly interoperable solutions, tested for security, performance, reliability, ease-of-use and rapid deployment.

"With "Nokia OK" approval, Websense now provides organizations ranging from the smallest to the very largest with best-of-breed Web filtering on Nokia IP series platforms, without compromising performance and scalability," said Quinn Curtis, director of product management, Websense Inc. "As the world's leading Web filtering company, many of the largest enterprises in the world rely on Websense technology to maximize employee productivity and protect their employee computing environments. We are excited to offer a world-class Nokia and Websense combination."

By running either "on" or "off-appliance," all "Nokia OK" applications allow Nokia to reduce end user complexity and deliver a truly comprehensive solutions-oriented approach to security. The complete list of  "Nokia OK" applications include offerings from BMC Software, HP, Fishnet Security Inc., ForeScout Technologies, nCircle, netForensics, Inc., Open Service(TM) Inc., Permeo(TM) Technologies Inc., SurfControl®, Tripwire®, Inc. and Websense, Inc.
