Nokia repurchases a maximum of 50 million Nokia shares from the market
March 23, 2001
The Board of Directors of Nokia Corporation has resolved to repurchase a maximum of 50,000,000 Nokia shares through public trading. The shares will be repurchased on the basis of the authorization given by the Annual General Meeting to the Board on March 21, 2001. The shares will be used to further develop the capital structure of the Company, to finance or execute acquisitions or other arrangements, to be transferred in other ways, or to be cancelled. The repurchases will commence on March 30, 2001 at the earliest.
