Nokia supplies WAP technology to Thus in UK

Nokia is to supply UK national operator Thus PLC with the Nokia WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) solution for the delivery of mobile Internet services.
Thus, one of the UK's leading providers of voice, data, Internet and interactive services, is to deliver WAP services to customers of its Demon brand, one of the UK's largest Internet Service Providers.
It is anticipated that WAP mail services will be initially available to Demon subscribers by the summer.
Nokia will provide its WAP solution, the Nokia Artus Messaging Platform, and Short Message Service Centre solution to Thus.
Nokia can offer operators what few others in the industry can; a complete end-to-end WAP solution, including WAP gateways, WAP portals, mobile terminals, browsers, tools for WAP -based content creation and delivery, and systems integration services.
