Nokia Launches Developer License for the Nokia WAP Server

User base rapidly increasing with 15,000 WAP Server trial downloads in the first 60 days
Nokia today announced the availability of developer licenses for the Nokia WAP Server and Nokia WAP Security Packs as a continuation of Nokia's support for WAP application developers. The Nokia WAP Server developers' license covers three concurrent users at an affordable price.
Releasing the developer licenses further reflects Nokia's commitment to support the growing community of WAP developers. The inexpensive cost of the licenses provides customers with a low barrier-to-entry for exploiting the Nokia WAP Server in order to create secure, company-specific WAP-enabled services and solutions. The licenses permit the use for internal development purposes only.
The demand for the Nokia WAP Server has expanded rapidly. In the first 60 days of availability, it received 15,000 trial downloads. Thus the Nokia WAP Server 1.0 is the world's most recognized WAP server, allowing businesses to fully leverage the power and functionality of existing and new service offerings in a mobile environment.
The developer licenses for the Nokia WAP Server and the Nokia WAP Security Packs will be available from March 1st, 2000.
