Nokia 445PRO Brings a New Dimension to Display Technology
November 10, 1999
When it comes to display technology, screen size does matter. The same goes for three-dimensional shape. A large and flat screen is a valuable tool for any demanding PC user who wants improved picture quality and a big screen facilitating multiapplication work. Nokia's new 445PRO represents the latest advance in display technology, combining a 21-inch screen with the exceptional new FlatAG technology. The result is a winning combination of size and quality - the picture of this display is without flicker, distortion, bending, reflections or colour inconsistency.
Clear and Distortion-Free Images
The FlatAG technology ensures that the picture is sharp and clear in rich, flicker free colours even at the edges of the screen. Owing to the even FD Trinitron AG pitch at 0.24 mm and the Beam Landing Correction circuitry, the 445PRO has the same fine pitch all over the screen -a valuable feature for the discerning professional who spends his or her day in front of a PC screen. The FlatAG technology of the 445PRO guarantees improved picture geometry, owing to the flat surface which not only ensures crystal clear images but also a reflection-free screen. The overall performance is further improved by Micro Frequency Controller which allows resolutions of 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200, at refresh rates of 115 Hz and 100 Hz. Even at these high resolutions the image is picture-perfect.
Flat Display Makes the Most Out of Colours
Whether the work at hand involves imaging, product design or desktop publishing, outstanding colour quality is a definite prerequisite. The Nokia 445PRO is designed to meet with the high standards of professional users with flying colours. The display comes equipped with a new and improved electron gun which is a crucial factor determining the quality of colour and contrast. The most advanced electron gun technology guarantees improved spot size and better brightness all over the screen: the resulting image of vivid colours and sharper-than-ever contrast with outstanding gray scale visibility satisfies even the most demanding user. The colour performance is further enhanced by the NokiaCoating treatment which lets the user enjoy the benefits of one of a dark screen: excellent contrast with light reflection of less than 1 per cent.
Enhanced Ergonomics
The Nokia 445PRO meets with the strictest available user and environment-related performance criteria, namely the new TCO'99 standard. The TCO'99 approval guarantees the highest standard of visual ergonomics, power consumption, electromagnetic emissions and environmental compatibility. The benefits of FlatAG technology are not there just to make the work more efficient: the user will soon notice that the absence of reflection, flicker, colour distortion or blurry images stand for enjoyable working conditions. These features combined with the familiar Nokia ease-of-use user interface and excellent price performance make the 445PRO a top performer.
