Nokia establishes new function for Corporate Marketing
November 18, 1999

Mr. Martin Sandelin has been appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Nokia Group as of February 1st, 2000.

Mr. Sandelin takes over the new assignment from his present position as Vice President, Investor Relations. In his new position he will be based in Espoo, Finland and report to Mr. Jorma Ollila, Chairman and CEO of Nokia. Ms. Ulla James, presently Assistant VP, Investor Relations has been appointed Vice President, Investor Relations as of January 1st, 2000. Ms. James will be based in Irving, Texas. Ms. James reports to Mr. Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, CFO of Nokia.

The Corporate Marketing function will be responsible for Nokia's global market making and the building of corporate image, putting Nokia in the forefront of the Mobile Information Society. The digital era of the internet and wireless communications will create new opportunities and require a corporate-wide approach in positioning Nokia as the industry leader.

Corporate Marketing will be responsible for the www.nokia.com, one of the most frequented corporate web-sites in the world, and for other corporate image related tasks, such as corporate sponsorships, visual identity and merchandizing. It will work in close cooperation with Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Investor Relations.

Nokia is the leading mobile phone supplier and a leading supplier of mobile, fixed and IP networks including related services. It also supplies multimedia terminals and computer displays.
