FOX Broadcasting Company and Nokia enter promotional partnership for ''Time Of Your Llife''

Trips to Los Angeles and New York City to be given away through watch and win sweepstakes

FOX Broadcasting Company (FOX) and Nokia are teaming up in an extensive promotional partnership centering around FOX's new primetime series starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, 'Time Of Your Life' from Columbia TriStar Television. 'Time Of Your Life' premieres Monday, Oct. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). The promotion, which includes an integrated multimedia campaign, was announced today by Tiffany Keele, Director, National Promotion, FOX Broadcasting Company and Matt Wisk, Vice President, National Marketing at Nokia.

"This promotion is a perfect match as both FOX and Nokia are trying to reach the same target audience with our specific products," said Kaye Bentley, Senior Vice President, National Media, Affiliate and National Promotion, FOX Broadcasting Company. "Both FOX and Nokia have enjoyed tremendous success through our partnership in the past, and we expect to have the same success for this, as well as future promotions."

"The 'Time Of Your Life' promotion delivers Nokia an audience that marks the next generation of future wireless users. Today's teens are the first generation of consumers where the online world and technology have played a natural and expected role in their everyday lives," said Wisk. "Nokia's branding strategy is to target strong and innovative partners such as FOX and we are excited to extend this partnership that began earlier this year with our Emmy Awards sponsorship."

Elements to support the cross-promotion and the "Who used the Nokia phone?" sweepstakes include thorough targeted print advertising campaign, local radio spots and marketing, in-store point of purchase and internet promotion.

To effectively target the appropriate teen audience, FOX, Sony and Nokia have undergone an extensive internet campaign to promote 'Time Of Your Life' and the Nokia 5100 phone series through advertisements, sweepstakes and interactive activities on the FOX, Nokia and Sony websites. FOX will develop a dedicated multi-page 'Time Of Your Life' co-branded website at www.FOX.com. Here, users can receive details about entering the sweepstakes, learn more about the show and participate in 'Time Of Your Life' online games and activities. Nokia will feature 'Time Of Your Life' on its branded website at www.nokiausa.com. Sony, which produces the show through its Columbia TriStar Television division, will also carry cross-promotional information on its website at www.sony.com. In addition, there will be advertisements for the promotion placed on some of the more heavily traveled teen websites.

The point-of-sale campaign will be displayed at most locations where Nokia phones are sold. Media elements will include a week-long local radio buy, as well as a radio promotion overlay in the top 50 markets with over 750 Nokia 5100 phones to be given away during the three-day radio promotion and a grand prize trip to New York City for two.

The Nokia/'Time Of Your Life' promotion will also boast a highly targeted print campaign focusing on the popular teen magazines, Seventeen and Teen People. The November issues of these publications, available on newsstands in early October 1999, will carry color, full-page spreads featuring "Who used the Nokia phone?" sweepstakes information, entry details, prizing, the Nokia 5100 phone and the cast of 'Time Of Your Life'.

Contestants must watch 'Time Of Your Life' on FOX on Nov. 8 and 15 to spot which characters on the show are using the Nokia. Viewers will be directed to mail in or enter at www.fox.com and answer "Who used the Nokia?" Contestants who answer correctly become eligible to win the sweepstakes.

The national sweeptakers prizes to be given away will include ten specially produced 'Time Of Your Life' Nokia 5100 phones or cash awards of $1,000. The Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two to Los Angeles for a tour of both the Twentieth Century Fox Studio and the 'Time Of Your Life' set, as well as a trip to New York City, where the show takes place.
