Nokia to deliver Actionet Professional Mobile Radio system to Procedatos, Venezuela

Nokia and Procedatos have signed an agreement for the supply of Nokia's Actionet trunked mobile radio system in Venezuela.

The system, based on the open MPT 1327 standard, is scheduled to be operational by the end of this year.

Nokia won the order with its local supplier Simtel C.A., to supply a complete end to end Actionet system to Procedatos, including switches, base stations, multiplexers, dispatch centres and handsets. The agreement also includes a range of customer services, including installation, planning, supervision and integration tests.

Procedatos is a trunking operator offering services to professional users. Initially they will be providing services for Enelven-Enelco, the first electrical utility company in Venezuela to take a MPT 1327 based system into use. Headquartered in the Zulia state of Venezuela, Enelven-Enelco will use the Nokia Actionet network to provide professional mobile services for their service personnel.
