Nokia Online Services - bringing customer support via the Internet to Nokia's network customers
March 18, 1999
Nokia today introduces Nokia Online Services at CeBIT 99 - bringing interactive services to network customers via the Internet.
Nokia Online Services will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Nokia Online Services is a new service concept to complement conventional customer service offerings. Nokia now makes it possible for customers to have online access to Nokia databases, work during their own time, and be able to proactively seek solutions to different queries, whenever and wherever they need them.
"Nokia wants to help operators run their networks at peak performance. By providing access to our online resources, we want to help our customers to build on their own capabilities while relying on our long-term experience for their support," says Pekka Oranen, Senior Vice President, Customer Services, Nokia Telecommunications.
Nokia Online Services will currently cover Preventive Maintenance, which includes technical product announcements kept in an inventory online; Trouble Management which incorporates an intelligent search engine which searches a database for quick answers to technical questions; Spare Part Management in which the customers will be able to manage their spare part logistics and order new spares; and Training, which provides a complete picture of various educational opportunities available to our customers. To complete the picture, Nokia Online Services offers a platform for customer-specific team rooms. New services are expected to be frequently introduced.
