Nokia and Gradiente Electronica Open a New Factory

Nokia announced today that it has begun operations in its new manufacturing facility owned jointly with Gradiente Electronica S.A. in Manaus, Brazil.
Nokia and Gradiente established a joint venture, NGI Limitada, on January 1st 1998 for the production of mobile phones for the Brazilian market.
The new factory, which with over 10 000 square meters doubles the factory space of its previous factory in Brazil, will produce digital handsets for the Brazilian market under the Nokia and Gradiente brand names.
