Hallstein Moerk to head Nokia's Human Resources

Mr. Hallstein Moerk has been appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources in Nokia as of February 1st, 1999. Mr. Moerk will head the Human Resources function of Nokia with special focus on HR policies, processes and systems as well as HR Development. He will report to Mr. Jorma Ollila, President and CEO of Nokia.
Mr. Moerk joins Nokia from Hewlett-Packard, where he has held several line management and HR positions since 1977. He has recently been Director of Human Resources in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and was based in Geneva.
