Nokia to expand GSM network for KPN Telecom in the Netherlands

Nokia and KPN Telecom, Netherlands, have extended their long-term frame agreement for the supply of base stations, base station controllers, Nokia's Network Management System and implementation and maintenance services until the end of 2003. Nokia will also supply GSM 1800 base stations, giving KPN the capability to provide dual band services.
With this new deal, all of KPN's nationwide mobile traffic in the Netherlands will be handled through Nokia equipment. The value of the agreement is estimated to be several hundred million Guilders.
