Nokia introduces a new Nokia RinGo for ETACS networks

Nokia has today announced a new Nokia RinGo analog mobile phone for ETACS networks at SMAU exhibition in Milan, Italy. The new Nokia RinGo features the famous Nokia NaviKey, which makes it fast and easy to access the features of the phone. The 3 Volt technology and in-built Battery Save function provide the best standby times in ETACS systems. The stylish design of the new Nokia RinGo associates the product with Nokia's recognized design values and principles. The Nokia RinGo is designed to look good and feel good in the hand. The product will be available in the 4th quarter of 1998.

The Nokia NaviKey concept has previously been used in the Nokia 3110, the Nokia 5100 series, and the Nokia 540 mobile phones. The Nokia NaviKey sets a straight course to the features and the functions of the phone. It is easy and fast, anticipating the intuitive logic of the user. The standby time of the Nokia RinGo is up to 45 hours and talk time is up to 4 hours with the standard battery. The language options include English, German, Italian, Spanish, and Bahasa Malaysia. The Nokia RinGo has 20 ringing tones and memory for 60 phone numbers and names. The Nokia RinGo weighs only 165 grams with the standard battery. Most of the accessories are compatible with the Nokia 6100 and the Nokia 5100 series mobile phones.
