Nokia supplies Synfonet Access Node for mobile transmission network in Tianjin City, China

Tianjin Toll Telecommunications Bureau has selected Nokia to supply Synfonet® SDH equipment for its GSM trunk transmission network. Deliveries will start immediately.
Tianjin TTB will use the Nokia Synfonet SDH solution including STM-1 and Nokia Synfonet Access Node (SAN), the Nokia NMS network management system and other Nokia access solutions. Customer services have also been supplied. Nokia is the major supplier for the Tianjin TTB GSM transmission network and Nokia's expertise in providing solutions including SDH as well as a high level of quality and service was significant in Tianjin TTB's decision to choose Nokia.
With a population of more than 8 million, Tianjin City is one of the largest municipalities in China. "In the demanding and fast-growing environment in Tianjin, the selection of the Nokia Synfonet solution proves its capabilities," says Mr Folke Ahlbäck, Senior Vice President, Nokia Greater China. "The flexibility of the Nokia Synfonet gives the operator flexibility to build as they go, according to demand."
