Nokia supplies fixed network solutions to Daqing Petroleum Administration, China

The Telecommunication Company of Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau, China, and Nokia have signed a contract for the provision of fixed network solutions for the Daqing network. Deliveries will begin immediately.
Under the agreement, Nokia will supply its DX 200 switching platform with a number of advanced features such as Centrex and advanced analogue and ISDN features. Nokia will also supply the Synfonet STM-16 from its Synfonet SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) product family. The Nokia NMS/10 network management system will also be provided. These products will be used for voice and data transmission. Additionally, Nokia will supply a range of customer service solutions, such as installation and commissioning.
As Mr Liu Yong, Chief Engineer, Telecommunication Company of Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau explains, "We selected Nokia due to its sincere way of doing business, excellent customer services as well as its unique technology features."

" With the addition of a further DX 200 platform with advanced features, as well as Nokia's innovative Synfonet solution, the capabilities of the Daqing network performance can only be enhanced."
Nokia and the Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau have been co-operating since 1987. Nokia has been the main supplier for switching and transmission during this time. Daqing also operates an analogue cellular Nokia NMT 450 network.
