Nokia and Computer Sciences Corporation create innovative global partnership

Nokia Telecommunications and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) have announced the formation of a global alliance to provide advanced, value-added services for Nokia's infrastructure customers which include telephone operators, both mobile and fixed, and other service providers. The alliance will offer customers one-stop-shopping for end-to-end solutions for the provision of innovative value-added services and equipment.
The development of end-to-end solutions by the alliance enable the implementation of new, innovative telecommunications services. The increasing sophistication of today's telecommunications services demands a tight integration between the operator's telecommunications network and the service and business management support systems.
The new capability will enable telecom operators to launch new value-added services rapidly. With today's technology, users can, for example, access location-based services, giving them a list of restaurants in their current area via their mobile phone.
