John R. Grundy Joins Nokia Display Products as Vice President of Marketing

Nokia Display Products, Inc. today announced that John R. Grundy has joined the company as the vice president of marketing for North America. Grundy will oversee the company’s overall marketing strategy including product marketing, marketing communications, channel and event marketing, market research and strategic partnerships for its full line of advanced computer displays.
Mr. Grundy joins Nokia Display Products from Samsung Electronics America, Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, where he was the senior national marketing manager for monitors. During his tenure, Grundy was responsible for overseeing marketing strategies and executing marketing programs for the company’s branded monitors in the United States.
Prior to his four years with Samsung, Mr. Grundy was with ViewSonic in Walnut, California, where he was marketing manager.
Mr. Grundy also held marketing and sales management positions with Nixdorf Computer A.G. in Germany.
“Over the past several years, Nokia Display Products has been extremely successful in transitioning from an OEM-only sales model to an established brand name in the monitor arena,” said Jim Cookson, president of Nokia Display Products, Inc. “Having someone like John, who brings extensive experience in leading and supporting the strategic marketing and sales efforts for branded technology products, will help Nokia further establish its foothold in the display marketplace.”
Mr. Grundy holds a BS in Business Administration, with an emphasis in International Business, from the University of the Pacific and an MBA in Marketing from the Claremont Graduate School’s Peter F. Drucker Graduate Management Center.
