Nokia K-Shares Converted to A-Shares

Nokia Corporation's Articles of Association provide holders of K-shares the right to convert their holdings to A-shares.
For the entire period during which this conversion of shares has been permitted, through October 1, 1997, a total of 82,874,419 K-shares have been converted to A-shares. The total amount of Nokia's shares today is 299,549,980 of which 218,031,335 are A-shares.
Headquartered in Finland, Nokia is a leader in digital technologies including mobile phones, cellular and fixed telecommunications networks, wireless data solutions and multimedia terminals. With sales in approximately 130 countries, net sales totaled FIM 39.3 billion ($8.5 billion) in 1996. Nokia employs more than 34,000 people in 45 countries.
