Nokia wins EISA European Satellite Receiver of the Year '97-'98
Nokia's latest, most celebrated award comes from the European Imaging & Sound Association (EISA), for the Nokia Mediamaster 9500S winning the European Satellite Receiver of the Year '97-'98.
The EISA panel said; "The Nokia Mediamaster 9500s is not just the best digital satellite receiver on the market today, it is also an outstanding DVB-compatible Multimedia terminal. At present it will receive and decode digital satellite signals, but at the same time can read a VideoCD if connected to a CDRom Player. This remarkable unit will permit access to the full range of consumer services such as Pay Per View, Teleshopping and Telebanking."
Nokia Multimedia Network Terminals has won more 'Best in Test's' and Awards for satellite products than any other brand in Europe.
In Germany, Nokia has won over 50 commendations for analogue receivers alone over the last seven years from prestigious publications such as VIDEO, Tele Satellit, Stiftg Warentest and TV Speilfilm to name but a few.
The EISA award is truly pan-European and democratic in nature, being the result of voting by 38 magazines from 18 countries that are members of EISA. Winning products are only announced after an extensive process of selection, short-listing and democratic balloting procedures.
Nokia Multimedia Network Terminals will be presented with this most esteemed award during the Internationale Funkausstellung, Berlin (30.8-7.9.97).
