Via Digital Receives First Shipment of Nokia Terminals

Nokia, world leader in multimedia and digital technologies, has delivered its first batch of digital satellite receivers to Spanish operator Via Digital. Nokia recently won the contract to supply Via Digital with 50,000 multimedia terminals during 1997.
The first Nokia Mediamaster's 9600 with Common Interface were delivered last Friday (11.7.97), just three weeks since the the contracts were signed and orders placed for products.
Nokia has shown that apart from being a leader in digital technologies, it can react positively to meet Via Digital's needs, turning around requests for product in a very short space of time.
The Nokia Mediamasters are manufactured in Motala, Sweden, where a team of more than 60 people provided the means to meet the rapid response time that Via Digital demanded.
