Nokia Introduces the New Multigraph 449Xa 15-Inch Monitor with Integrated Audio
April 01, 1997
Nokia Display Products Inc., a leading manufacturer of display and audio technologies, today announced the introduction of its new high-end 15-inch monitor with state of the art picture quality and integrated audio.
Based upon the award winning Multigraph 449X the new 449Xa combines a high-resolution TrinitronTM display with integrated stereo speakers. Nokia monitors were the first in the United States to be certified with the strict new standard TCO’95, and have made this strict environmental policy standard in all Nokia monitors for safe use in the office or home.
“The 449Xa is an ergonomics leader in its segment. In addition to superb picture quality, the monitor delivers the lowest emission and power consumption values due to it’s MicroEmissionTM technology,” said Jan Nylund, Product Manager for Nokia Display Products in the Americas.
The Multigraph 449Xa delivers a crisp 1024 x 768 resolution at a flicker-free refresh rate of 80Hz and corner-to-corner screen quality enhanced by a 0.25mm horizontal dot pitch. Intuitive on-screen control menu allows users to make on-the-fly adjustments quickly and easily. Additional screen quality control features include dynamic auto-focus and comprehensive on-screen menus. All Nokia monitors include the FullSceenTM feature which eliminates the black border found on most monitors expanding the viewable application area by about ten percent.
Plug & Play support for Windows 95 applications provides for automatic configuration of the 449Xa’s Display Data Channel (DDC)-compliant display upon connection.
“Once again Nokia assumes the product leadership role delivering to its corporate clients the 449Xa 15-inch monitor,” stated Nokia’s Jim Seitz, VP Corporate Sales.
The Multigraph 449Xa is currently available from Nokia resellers and distributors for a suggested retail price of US $399. For the nearest dealer or for other distribution and purchase information, contact 800-296-6542 (BYNOKIA).
