Nokia and Elektrobit Establish Joint Venture to Focus on the Measurement and Optimization Tools for Cellular Networks

Elektrobit of Finland and Nokia Telecommunications have established a joint venture company, called Nemo Technologies Ltd., which will concentrate in cellular radio networks' measurement and optimization tools. The two companies have had cooperation for many years and the joint venture is a logical step to reinforce this existing cooperation.
Nemo Technologies Ltd. will create its business by supporting Nokia's system business in this telecommunications market area as well as by providing its products and services directly to its own customers. By emerging Elektrobit's strong R&D capabilities in wireless communications and Nokia's wide know-how in system business, the new company will be able to have a strong position in the rapidly growing market. The target is to focus on this measurement and optimization tool business and to develop new innovative solutions to current and new customers.
Nemo Technologies Ltd. will provide products such as cellular air interface monitors, quality of service testers and autonomous measuring equipment. The products can be used for cellular/PCS network monitoring and performance optimization.
Elektrobit is a Finnish high-tech company with net sales of USD 20 million and approximately 90 employees. Elektrobit specializes in customer specific R&D projects as well as developing and manufacturing OEM products for existing and new customers.
