Nokia and Granada Sign Satellite IRD Agreement

Nokia Multimedia Terminals and Granada UK have signed a strategic agreement for the supply of a tailor-made Nokia stereo satellite IRD (Nokia SAT 780) for Granada UK Rentals.
The deal demonstrates both companies' commitment to high quality, hassle-free analogue products for consumers and paves the way for talks between the two about the potential for Nokia's digital multimedia terminal - the Mediamaster - within Granada's business.
Benny Norling of Nokia Multimedia Network Terminals' says. "Granada wanted an entry level IRD of exceptionally high quality, with ease-of-use as a key element. Our research and development team has, together with Granada, found the ideal product which is due to hit the market in August."
The new Nokia SAT 780 destined for Granada's rental business will be manufactured at Nokia's satellite factory in Motala, Sweden where the high-quality manufacturing processes meet the demanding SS-ISO 9001 standard.
