Nokia introduces the naturally-shaped phone

The Nokia 8100 series boasts style and functionality with complete digital features and excellent operating times
Nokia Mobile Phones introduces a new sophisticated phone for GSM and PCN standards. The Nokia 8100 series is a family of high-end phones with elegant design, light weight, enhanced quality and functionality. The Nokia 8110 for GSM and the Nokia 8148 for PCN will be available in Europe and Asia starting this summer.
With its unique curved shape, the Nokia 8100 product family is the first with an innovative, ergonomically comfortable design. The product feels good in the hand and fits into any pocket. The sliding cover protects the keypad and enables to adjust the phone to a perfect ear-to-mouth length, anywhere from 10.5 cm to 17 cm.
The Nokia 8110 weighs only 151 grams with the standard Lithium-Ion battery. However, the operating times are excellent: talk time is up to 5 hours and standby time up to 150 hours (6 days) with the extended battery. Charging times are the shortest on the market.
The Nokia 8100 series provides a comprehensive range of features, including the acclaimed user-friendly interface and logical keypad layout. This is the first Nokia phone with an illuminated dot matrix full graphics display, which changes the text size automatically for easy viewing. Menu texts come in 15 languages. The memory can store up to 324 names and numbers (125 in phone, up to 199 in SIM card memory).
Among the new features are fax divert, mailbox button, easy dial keys, full page scroll, automatic language selection, wake-up message, 16 ringing tones and improved use of phone book. The Nokia 8110 also supports the GSM phase 2 features.
The Nokia 8100 phones enable easy communication on the move, supporting the improved short message service and sending and receiving of faxes, file and email with the Nokia Cellular Data Card. With the versatile set of accessories, the phone naturally adapts to different environments.
