Nokia Adjusting Its Television Set Production

Nokia is continuing to adjust its production of television sets to meet market demand. Lower volumes and the refocused product range are expected to immediately affect about 600 jobs at Nokia Consumer Electronics' production and distribution units in Europe. Negotiations on employee arrangements will begin immediately.
At the same time, arrangements to continue Nokia's television business on the basis of a strategic partnership are being considered. Decisions related to these alternatives will be made by the end of March.
