New Business Organisation for Nokia Consumer Electronics

Effective January 1st, 1996 Nokia Consumer Electronics will be organised into three independent business divisions, all reporting directly to Mr Tapio Hintikka, President of Nokia General Communications Products business group.
The business divisions and the Presidents will be:
- Home Vision Products (CTV, VCR), President Markku Alasaari
- Multimedia Network Terminals (Satellite & Cable Products), President Heikki Koskinen
- Display Products (Monitors), President Reijo Lantto
New business development for the divisions will be co-ordinated by the New Business Board, chaired by Mr Tapio Hintikka. Other New Business Board members will include:
Mr Markku Alasaari, Mr Heikki Koskinen, Mr Reijo Lantto, Mr Seppo Kalli (Nokia Research Center), Mr Timo Ellilä as secretary, and Mr Helmut Stein (in charge of overall long-term multimedia technology and systems development as well as new customer concepts).
Other Nokia Consumer Electronics functions will be transferred to the business divisions gradually during the first part of 1996. Detailed organisation plans will be disclosed in January, 1996.
