Nokia Signs Private Mobile Radio Agreement with BPL Telecom Ltd., of India

Nokia Telecommunications, the infrastructure arm of Finland based Nokia Group and BPL Telecom Ltd. of India have signed distribution and servicing agreements covering Nokia's Private Mobile Radio (PMR) Actionet Compact and related terminal products. BPL will have full support and customer services capabilities to support the Nokia Actionet Compact customers in India.
BPL will provide Nokia's PMR solutions to customers in India through its existing country-wide sales and customer support organization.

Earlier this year Nokia and BPL have already signed agreements for two collaborations; BPL will assemble and distribute Nokia's satellite receivers in India as well as to distribute Nokia's mobile phones in the whole country.
