Mr Veli Sundbäck Joins Nokia

Mr. Veli Sundbäck, Secretary of State, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, will join Nokia as Executive Vice President and a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board as of Jan.1.1996. Mr. Sundbäck succeeds Mr. Paavo Rantanen on his retirement.
Mr. Sundbäck will be responsible for Corporate Relations and International Trade Policy issues.
Mr. Sundbäck (49) has been in the service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs since 1969. Before his present appointment as Secretary of State in 1994, he served as Under-Secretary for External Economic Affairs.
