Nokia to deliver SDH solution to TCC in UK

The Cable Corporation Ltc. (TCC) of UK and Nokia Telecommunications have signed a three year contract for the supply of a total SDH solution to meet the needs of business and residential telephony.
The contract incorporates the purchase of Nokia's SYNFONET SDH solution, ACM2 primary multiplexing equipment, TMS-OS transmission management systems and a cross connect (SXC) for the Middlesex and Windsor franchises. The contract is valued at GBP 12 million.
In addition, the contract also covers the supply of ACM2 multiplexing equipment complementing the existing hifher order PDH transmission equipment currently in place. Nokia is a leading transmission supplier in UK and has been working with the UK CATV telephony industry since 1989.
