Nokia supplies GSM base stations to PTT Telecom Netherlands

PTT Telecom Netherlands and Nokia Telecommunications have signed a long-term frame agreement for the supply of GSM base station systems and services. The contract relates to a part of PTT's GSM network enhancement.
Nokia will supply base stations, base station controllers, and an expansion of Operations and Maintenance Centre to PTT Telecom. Moreover, commissioning, installation and training services are included in the contract. The equipment will be installed nationwide to improve the capacity and indoor coverage of PTT Telecom's GSM network. The new roll-out will raise the quality of GSM service and enables the introduction of new services to business and residential users.
