Telecom Finland and Nokia sign FIM 800 million contract

Nokia Telecommunications and Telecom Finland have signed two frame agreements covering 1995-1997.
Nokia will supply its DX 200 switching system technology and its GSM equipment for Telecom Finland.
The total value of the contracts is around FIM 800 million, making it the largest telecommunications contract ever concluded in Finland. The fixed network agreement is valued at FIM 200 million and the GSM contract at FIM 600 million. The new investments will help Telecom Finland maintain its internationally recognized strong position as a developer of telecom services. Nokia will supply DX 200 mobile switching systems, base stations and base station controllers for Telecom's GSM network. Additionally, Nokia will supply DX 200 switching systems for the renovation of Telecom's fixed telephone network.
