March 30, 1995

Nokia Telecommunications has made an agreement with E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH for the expansion of the E-Plus DCS cellular network. The value of the contract is approx. 800 million DEM.

The contract covers the third phase of the network expansion. The agreement includes DX 200 digital mobile switching centres, base stations, base station controllers, operation and maintenance centre, installation, comissioning and provisions for service and training.

"Nokia has proven its flexibility and reliability as a supplier of sophisticated system solutions", comments Herbert Brenke, Head of General Management, E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH.
