Nokia supplies network expansion to China

Nokia Telecommunications has signed two agreements for expansion of the telecommunications network serving Daqing Oilfield in the People's Republic of China.
According to the agreements Nokia will supply DX200 digital switching technology and transmission equipment to Daqing Oilfield. With Nokia's equipment Daqing Oilfield's infrastructure will be developed and telephone services improved for the people living in the area. The DX200 switching system includes the latest features, operation position system and centralized network operation and management system. Nokia will also provide installation and commissioning services. The modular architechture of DX200 system ensures the future expansion of the network and the new services for the network.
