Nokia Paging and HCL Ltd. have announced of an exclusive supply agreement of Nokia RDS pagers for India.

FM paging has rapidly being taken into use in India with All India Radio (AIR) having already granted licences to five operators for paging services through its existing high power FM transmitters in 17 cities. The operators are expected to make the service available to subscribers in January 1995.
