Nokia supplies a complete PCN network to Malaysia

Nokia Telecommunications has signed a USD 100 million contract with Electronics and Telematique (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd. (ETM) for the supply of a PCN network based on the DCS1800 standard to Malaysia on full-key basis.
According to the contract Nokia delivers the complete DCS1800 infrastructure, including mobile switching centres and, base stations, base station controllers and the transmission network with complete network management system.
Nokia is investing in a regional Competence Center in Kuala Lumpur to implement and support ETM's nationwide PCN network roll-out and Nokia's growing regional operations in digital cellular networks.
ETM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sapura Holdings Sdn.Bhd. Sapura is a leading telecommunications group in Malaysia with operations in various telecommunications related businesses.
