Nokia acquires Telekol Corporation to strengthen its mobile corporate communications portfolio

The acquisition will strengthen Nokia's complete IP Telephony and Wireless LAN offering and further enhance Nokia's technology know-how in corporate communications applications.

Founded in 1989, Telekol Corporation designs intelligent communications solutions for corporate and Internet Service Provider networks. The key technology elements in the company's solutions are unified messaging, intelligent call processing, and computer based information delivery and exchange. Telekol currently employs approximately 60 people and is based in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.

In the future, many corporations will substantially enhance their productivity through web-based unified messaging, intelligent call and transaction processing. Telekol offers these solutions based on open-architecture, enterprise-class software and servers that allow organizations to manage mixed media communications and information exchange. Telekol's products are speech-enabled to provide users natural interaction with the applications.
