Nokia Supplies GSM Network Expansion to Jiangxi, China
Nokia will deliver to Jiangxi its DX 200 mobile switches, base stations, base station controllers, as well as home location register and operation and maintenance center. Nokia will also provide implementation, network planning and training services. With this expansion the capacity of the Jiangxi PTAs network will be increased to 160,000 subscribers.
In October, 1995, Jiangxi PTA and Nokia Telecommunictions signed an agreement for the supply of the first phase of the network. The network was taken into operation during the first half of 1996.
