Nokia Supplies Optical Transmission System to China Railways
The optical transmission network delivered by Nokia will span almost 900 kilometres and provision both SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and PDH (Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy) systems. The total network will be managed by Nokias latest integrated network management system.
Nokia has been supplying state of the art digital switching, transmission and management systems to China Railways for almost 10 years. This latest project strengthens Nokias relationship with one of the worlds most rapidly expanding railway operators. Nokia has supplied complete digital transport networks for over 30 railway companies in 19 countries; such countries as UK, France, China, Australia and the Nordic countries.
